Staff historians partnered with the Portage Route Chapter of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation to research and develop interpretive content for Lewis and Clark sites in the vicinity of Great Falls, Montana. This information will be uploaded and available on NextExitHistory™, a heritage tourism mobile phone application developed in collaboration with the University of West Florida public history program.
Team members conducted background research, wrote narrative site descriptions, recorded audio narration, and produced an overview video.
NextExitHistory™ is free to download, and is available on iOS and Android platforms. All site content is available on the web at http://nextexithistory.com/.
